The Frontier Sector is an expanse of space containing 12 worlds contested by the three major powers of the galaxy. The Terran Confederation, made up of Terrans (humans), Seli (bird people) and Voren (wolf-people), want to expand into the Frontier Sector to exploit the natural resources and covet a new resource known as Lithium-X. The Caril Empire, made up of humans only, is ruled by the Brotherhood of Pryor who worship Pyor, the Green Flame. The Brotherhood are in the Frontier Sector seeking the legendary holy relics of Pryor. Then there is the Ashendil Ascendancy, a race of cyborgs who want to assimilate all life. Zynthraal is an unclaimed planet in the Frontier Sector and all three major powers have a presence there. As well there are several neutral settlements dotted across the planet.

Story

You play Kaelan Voss, a Terran trouble shooter, data broker and spy. Kaelan’s handler is a Seli woman named Zinta Fuertes. Kaelan’s tech support is a grey furred Voren named Kaligula. Cardinal Michael Parisi is the leader of the Caril Empire forces on Zynthraal and he is specifically looking for the Seven Sacred Swords of Pryor rumoured to be this world. Leading the military forces of the Caril Empire is Paladin Antonio Malvecci. Adjunct XV705B of the Ashendil Ascendancy leads the cybernetic forces on Zynthraal and they have already converted the neutral settlement of Kinkane, now renamed Unit Z001ALPHA
