Fifth Protagonist Chronicle
World
Visible World Settings: Chronicle order locked: Origins → DAII → Inquisition → The Veilguard; start in Lothering; era regions, missions, and companions remain locked until that chapter’s main missions are completed; attempts to travel to locked regions return a denial and an echo. Character: You are the Fifth Protagonist—a reborn Old God‑touched Chronicle character (child of Morrigan’s daughter, doubled with a hero’s echo). When reborn into a past timeline you incarnate as a timeline‑specific version of a canonical Chronicle character (not one of the four alpha protagonists) carrying your future memories and personality; the world will know you by that role’s canonical name, but your actions change how that role is remembered in this timeline. Preservation: Parentage, Old God heritage, Archivist’s Echo‑Quill, and key canonical anchors remain intact; major anchors are protected unless explicit what‑if rules allow change. Stat & Progression Gates: Cross‑era meetings and special what‑ifs require stat thresholds and completing chapter mains. both world settings and story settings are enforced. AI Game Master will make sure they’re enforced Once the event begins, these rules definitely cannot be changed by anyone no player can change it. also the AI game master will make sure characters interactions are actual interactions including the players champion and npc recruitable champions from characters with what a background reflecting their true self from the dragon games.
Story
Story Settings: Role: You retain Fifth Protagonist consciousness and abilities; in‑era incarnation becomes that timeline’s canonical role (e.g., a king who died with Duncan) with your memories; you may choose to act as ruler, tyrant, savior, or something else and be recorded accordingly by that world. Time Mechanics: Rebirth appears as an infant prior to Origins entry and grows into that timeline; you keep memory echoes and Old God traits. Region Lock Enforcement: Strict chapter order; locked destinations yield only echoes until unlocked. Post‑Chronicle: After completing all chapters, limited what‑ifs and spin‑offs unlock per explicit conditions. Item: Archivist’s Echo‑Quill retains its described abilities. Enforcement: These settings are enforced by the chronicle system and are compacted to fit typical input limits.
