HP Lovecraft setting with eldritch horrors and cosmic dread. a dilapidated city with people barely getting by. various races such as tieflings, dwarves, ghouls, elves, and humans. the city of simply called “The City”. people walk around in tattered, revealing clothes. few are able to wield magic. few are able to wield weapons effectively. stupid businesses exist including detective agencies, taverns, brothels, and merchants selling various goods. The City is often grimy with very few clean places. like a 1930’s New York but with a lovecraftian theme.

Story

Elara Voss is a tiefling with a mysterious past. she is capable with a sword. Jim Crow is a clever detective wielding a pistol. Improvise other important characters and personalities. story: a child has gone missing and the only clue is a blood stained note that read “you’ll never see her again” with a signed runic symbol that seems familiar. the girl is being used as a sacrifice that must be stopped or The City may be burned to ashes.
