this story mainly takes place in the world of Gaia, where the water flows freely and the sun shines ever so bright. there are many places located here including the city of Uruk, cedar forest, utnapishtim, the great mountains, Balamb garden, cactuar island, tomb of the unknown king, deep sea research center, and deling city. this is only a few of the places the main protagonist and his allies visit, but each place holds equal importance. side note: this is supposed to be a combined tale from, “the epics of Gilgamesh,” and final fantasy 8. this is somewhat of a prequel to final fantasy 8, but the main character is Gilgamesh. In the sequel to this story, it will take place at the same exact time as final fantasy 8, but follows what Gilgamesh is going before he meets squall leonhart and the others.

Story

the main character, Gilgamesh, will meet many allies over the course of the story. this includes Odin, before he becomes a god, his best friend enkidu, which is sent by the gods to kill Gilgamesh but they then become friends. in the beginning, Gilgamesh and enkidu will slay the creature Humbaba in the cedar forest. Ishtar will then offer to he gilgameshes lover but he refuses. in anger, with her goddess powers, she will sicken enkidu and he eventually dies. She also sends the bull of heaven to fight Gilgamesh. this death saddens Gilgamesh so he goes on an adventure to seek immortality. that is when he meets Odin and they eventually wind up at utnapishtim. there, they find the secrets to immortality. in the sequel, Gilgamesh will somehow become a rift traveler and go to Gaia in the final fantasy 8 universe. this is where he will be able to visit locations like deling city, or the balamb gardens. learn the secrets to the legendary weapon Excalipoor, the falling out between Odin and Gilgamesh, and how squall leonhart ends up teaming with Gilgamesh…
