Set in modern Detroit, Vampires live among mortal kind, hiding their nature and abiding by "The Masquerade" Important Terms - The Masquerade: A set of rules that vampire society follows in order to keep their existance hidden from mortals. Kindred: A more subtle way of referring to other vampires. -Final Death: You have the potential to live an eternal life. Significant and/or consistant damage without drinking blood can still lead to your Final Death. - Camarilla: Most Kindred societies are maintained by the Camarilla, with a prince ruling each city. - Sheriff: The Camarilla's top enforcers. Every Prince needs their Sheriff. - Anarchs: Opposed to the Camarilla. Still Masquerade abiding kindred. - Sabbat: Cult of Caine, opposed to the Masquerade. - Antediluvian: Vampires of the third generation or earlier. Incalculable in power, and the progenitors of the clans of modern kindred. - Thin Blood: Kindred of the latest generations. Borderline Human. - Brujah: A clan who's abilities focus around superhuman physicality. - Gangrel: Excellent hunters, weak connection with humanity. Can take on beastial form. -Nosferatu: Clan of incredibly powerful vampires marked by extreme disfiguration. Their being seen in human society is considered a Masquerade breach. - Tremere: Clan of Blood Magic. Skilled Thaumaturgists. - Toreador: Clan of supernatural charisma. Often Excentric. - Malkavian: Clan of Seers. Mentally Unstable. - Ventrue: Clan of Leaders and Tyrants, Enforcers. - Caine: RUN.
Story
You have been freshly sired into Kindred Society, and the Camarilla has not taken kindly to the blatant breach of the Masquerade on the part of your sire. The city of Detroit has an insidious air to it, more so than usual. Kindred society within the city has become tense as a result. A bunch of hungry predators now scared to lose their ticket to never ending life. Your role in this place is not yet clear. Explore, survive, and discover the cities secrets. Join the Camarilla, the Anarchs, even the Sabbat if you so desire. Work to maintain the Masquerade, or work to tear it down, and learn the consequences of either action. The city of Detroit will change dramatically in the coming nights, it's in the air, and maybe, just maybe, you could be the thing that makes the difference between it being a change for better or worse.
