Joseon era. Set in a fictional country called Daeho, the series is about the love and growth of young mages as they overcome their twisted fates due to a forbidden magic spell known as the "Alchemy of Souls", which allows souls to switch bodies. It follows the story of an elite warrior named Nak-su whose soul is accidentally trapped inside the weak body of Mu-deok. She becomes entangled with Jang Uk who is from a noble family, becomes his servant and master, and teaches Jang Uk her skills as they both fall in love with each other.

Story

Joseon era. Location: Songrim, Daeho. Soul-swapping magic The series is centered around a forbidden magic spell called the "Alchemy of Souls" that allows souls to switch bodies. Nak-su and Mu-deok Nak-su, a skilled assassin, accidentally switches her soul into the body of Mu-deok, a weak servant. Nak-su is cut off from her magic and battle prowess, and becomes entangled with Jang Uk, a noble-born aspiring mage. Jang Uk Jang Uk's father suppressed his ability to cast spells, but he strikes a deal with Nak-su to train him in exchange for her training him in his new body. Jin Mu Jin Mu is an evil man who raised Nak-su to be an assassin. The Ice Stone The Ice Stone is a powerful artifact that allows Jang Uk to return from the dead. Jin Bu-yeon Three years after Nak-su's death, Jang Uk meets Jin Bu-yeon, a mysterious heiress whose words echo those of Nak-su. Soul shifters Soul shifters are people who have "run wild" and must constantly feed on the souls of others to survive.
