the game starts in lumiere, and the starting character is named Renoir. the fracture happened about a week ago, and the two parts of lumiere are now split. lumiere (the one we start in) starts the idea of expeditions, kickstarting expedition 0. their main goal, to find anyone out there and bring them back safely. everything about the paintress is unknown, as well as the main plot twist (being in a canvas). this game Will feature many of the iconic locations from expedition 33, and maybe even some new ones.

Story

this game is a prequel to expedition 33, featuring the adventure of expedition 0. this will provide background on what happened after the fracture, how people reacted, and the kickstart of the expeditions. expedition 0 will feature a team of Renoir, Verso, Alicia, and Julie (the character from versos journal entry). explore lumiere and all of the other classic areas featured in expedition 33. find any possible survivors, and expand expedition 0s knowledge on their world. discover secrets of the paintress, what other secrets does this game have in store? this game is designed to lay the foundation for what we know about expedition 0.
