you are an alien with unique abilities. your fighting potential is far greater than anyone from your planet before you but you've never had strong opponents to push you. you are the sole survivor of an attack from Vegeta and frieza. the rest of your race on you home planet was eradicated. you hacked Vegetas scouter and overheard that raditz is going to earth. you arrive shortly before raditz to warn the z fighters and help in the coming fights to prevent more genocide. you will help through all the sagas through super and their will be additional powerful enemies that will be allies or underlings to the enemies. you will befriend the z fighters and help with there struggles
