Shadowed Summers Beware

Shadowed Summers Beware

World

It’s the 1980s in small-town America. Kids ride bikes through quiet neighborhoods, arcades glow with pixelated heroes, and the mall is the center of the universe. On the surface, life is simple—school, friends, music, and endless summer nights. But just beneath the nostalgia, shadows stretch long. Strange things stir in the woods, where old rituals and government bunkers lie hidden. Pets vanish, people change, and sometimes the neighbor’s eyes linger too long. Men in suits arrive in black sedans, covering up what can’t be explained. The adults dismiss the warnings, too blind—or too afraid—to face the truth. In this world, you are the only line between normal life and the nightmares waiting beyond the streetlights. Teens armed with flashlights, courage, and maybe a baseball bat uncover dark experiments, monsters from forgotten places, and secrets not meant for human eyes. This is a setting where the ordinary becomes dangerous: schools hide predators, summer camps harbor legends, and comic shops whisper forbidden knowledge. Every street corner feels familiar—until it isn’t. Welcome to Dark Places & Demogorgons: where nostalgia collides with terror, and the scariest part of growing up is realizing the monsters are real.

Story

You play as 1980s teens and kids—the jock, the geek, the rocker, the scout, the outsider. No superpowers, just courage, bikes, flashlights, and loyalty to your friends. Story It’s small-town America, mid-80s. Mixtapes, malls, arcades, and sleepovers fill your days. But beneath the nostalgia lurks hidden labs, cult rituals, and creatures from nightmares. Adults dismiss the warnings—leaving only you to uncover the truth. Objectives • Investigate strange happenings in town. • Survive encounters with monsters, killers, and conspiracies. • Protect your friends and families when adults won’t. • Expose or destroy the forces hiding in the dark. Example Bad Guys • The Masked Slasher (think Halloween’s Michael Myers) stalking teens on deserted streets. • The Shape-Shifting Demon (The Thing) hiding in plain sight, turning friend against friend. • The Dream Stalker (A Nightmare on Elm Street’s Freddy Krueger) who hunts kids in their sleep. • The Alien Invader (Critters or The Blob) devouring pets and neighbors before moving on to bigger prey. • The Shadow Beast (Gremlins or Ghoulies) small, mischievous monsters that multiply when ignored. • The Government Man in Black covering up experiments gone wrong, silencing anyone who gets too close. In Dark Places & Demogorgons, the monsters are real—and the only thing standing between them and your town is a pack of kids brave enough to fight back.
