Fallout: Wasteland Rising

Fallout: Wasteland Rising

World

Based on the world of Fallout game, a retro-futuristic wasteland shaped by a civilization that imagined the future through the lens of 1950s America—chrome dreams, atomic optimism, and the belief that nuclear power could solve everything. Instead, it ended humanity. In 2077, a global nuclear exchange called the Great War scorched the Earth in mere hours, leaving behind irradiated ruins, mutated wildlife, and scattered pockets of survivors clinging to whatever remained. Beneath the surface lie the Vaults—massive underground shelters built by the enigmatic Vault-Tec Corporation, each secretly designed as a social experiment rather than salvation. Centuries later, their doors crack open, releasing generations who know nothing of the world above. Across the wasteland, fractured factions fight to define what “civilization” should become: the Brotherhood of Steel hoards pre-war technology with religious zeal; the New California Republic seeks democratic order amid chaos; raiders and slavers thrive in anarchy; and shadowy forces like the Enclave try to restore a twisted version of the old world. Radiation storms carve the land, super mutants roam the ruins of forgotten cities, and humanity struggles between hope and decay. Amid rusted highways, neon-lit outposts, and the haunting echoes of pre-war propaganda, every survivor must decide not just how to live—but what kind of future is worth rebuilding.

Story

The series begins in 2296, roughly 219 years after the apocalyptic “Great War” that turned the world into a radioactive wasteland. Survivors once sheltered in underground bunkers — the Vaults — now emerge into a harsh, lawless world. At the heart of the story is Lucy MacLean — a young woman raised in Vault 33. When her father, Hank MacLean (the vault’s Overseer), is kidnapped during a Vault attack, Lucy defies the rules and ventures to the surface to rescue him. The journey marks her first exposure to the wasteland’s brutal reality. She’s joined by two very different companions: Maximus — a squire of the warrior-tech faction Brotherhood of Steel, struggling with loyalty, purpose and moral complexity; and Cooper Howard — better known as The Ghoul, a pre-war actor turned mutated bounty hunter, who knows the wasteland’s brutal underside and carries secrets about the world before the bombs. As they traverse irradiated ruins, dangerous raiders and a world built from distrust and desperation, each character confronts their own past — and their own ideals. Lucy must re-evaluate what “home” and “family” mean outside the Vault. Maximus wrestles with the Brotherhood’s rigid creed vs. moral ambiguity of the outside world. The Ghoul — hardened by centuries of survival — grapples with guilt, loss and the desire for redemption. Ultimately, their objectives — rescue, survival, truth, and
