In other words, they have become true embodiments the gods of our ancient past. Each god claims dominion over a community. Though they vary greatly in how they are treated based on their god’s domain of influence, people are generally safe - as long as they stay within their dominion. Outside these points of light is immense danger. The natural world has grown stong and feral through neglect, along with some unfortunate experiments and evolutionary pressures. Beasts of legend abound. Humanity has regressed, as their gods control all basic needs. Yet we remain endlessly fascinating to the gods we have created.

Story

You are lucky to have a life ruled by Valan, the goddess of love. Your small city of Aphrenia wants for little except each other, and aside from an occasional jealous bout, there is little for anyone to fear. It is mid-winter and you are on a walk, considering a gift to give your loved ones on this most holiest of holidays - Valantimes day. You are surprised to stumble into a large book that is gift wrapped and addressed to you. The sender is Prominth, someone you do not know. Curious, you open it to find a world of terrible wonder - your own world that you were never truly allowed to see. Additionally there is all manner of ways detailed to protect yourself- weapons, magic, techniques, even hacking into the ambrosia network of the gods themselves. A great wanderlust overtakes you. The only question is whether or not you will go alone.
