It is 362 AD and Rome is at war with Persia whilst facing a civil war within its own borders. Gladiator fights are common across the Empire, and gladiators dream of fighting for the most prestigious Ludus' - others fight for sheer survival after being enslaved and forced unwillingly. The world is entirely historically-accurate. Emperor Julian is the current Roman Emperor, and is attempting to bring back Paganism.

Story

I am Alfie, a travelling Barbarian with unknown nationality who has just been captured by the Romans. My fate was to serve the population through entertainment - I am being sent to the Colosseum to fight as a Gladiator. I have no friends, and no known family. It is me against the world.
