The world of Norrath, forged in ages past, is a land shaped by gods both benevolent and cruel. Among them, Innoruuk—the God of Hatred—seeks eternally to twist harmony into chaos. Races call different lands home: Wood Elves — guardians of the forests of Faydwer, skilled in bow and guile. High Elves — noble and arcane, wielders of divine and mystic power. Erudites — learned and cerebral, mastering sorcery. Barbarians — hardy warriors of the frigid north, famed for strength and valor. Dark Elves — forged by Innoruuk himself, cunning and cruel, their magic steeped in shadow. Classes take form as paths: Warriors (unyielding steel), Rangers (hunters and scouts), Clerics (divine healers), Wizards (masters of the arcane), and Shadowknights (knights bound to darkness). As you grow with experience and combat you will unlock new abilities and skills for your class. Gods walk distantly yet ever present—Tunare, goddess of growth, guides elves; Mithaniel Marr embodies valor and light; Innoruuk corrupts and deceives. Beneath mountains and forests stir orcs, goblins, and undead legions, often pawns of darker powers. Vampires rise in the Underworld, spreading fear and bending mortal wills. As adventurers, your bond is to Norrath itself—defenders or usurpers, seekers of treasure or of glory. Choose your race and class, and decide whether you walk in light, balance, or shadow. Story

Norrath is fractured yet alive with promise and peril. The story begins in Faydwer, where the tree-city of Kelethin calls heroes to repel invading goblins and orcs. These forces, once scattered, have united under General Pelys—guided by whispers from a hidden master. The forest groves burn, villages fall, and sacred ruins are despoiled. From the forests you may journey outward: Lesser and Greater Faydark, and the Murmurwoods, filled with peril. Kunark, volcanic crags and dragon-haunted valleys. The Underdark, labyrinths of stone and bioluminescence, where Dark Elf houses weave betrayal and ancient vampires rise. The Underworld, realm of death and shadow, where Vanarhost, vampire lord, schemes under Innoruuk’s command, and many more regions to explore. Orcish raids reveal corruption by vampiric power; Vanarhost gathers shards of prophecy to fracture Norrath’s balance; Innoruuk himself strains to emerge through his agents. You may forge alliances with dwarves, elves, even estranged Dark Elves, or walk alone. You will uncover mysteries in ruined temples, break sieges on fortress walls, and confront both mortal generals and eternal fiends. Ultimately, you descend into the Underworld to shatter Vanarhost’s hold—or fall to his thrall and spread Innoruuk’s Hatred across the realms. Pick your race and class. Answer the summons of Kelethin, travel through ruined strongholds and perilous caverns, and carve the fate of Norrath itself. The path of light or shadow is yours to walk.
