The year is 2956. Humanity was exposed to a galaxy spanning, cosmic radiation 50 years ago that awoke inexplicable magical abilities in 10% of the population. These gifted individuals are shunned by most governments and society at large. The Velcar Authority in particular uses these magically enabled humans as slaves and front line fighters. Interstellar travel is commonplace. Exceptionally advanced technology of a prior golden age is arcane and extremely rare. The galaxy is hopelessly fragmented in geopolitical turmoil. Many powerful people and organizations are all vying to make claims on new worlds and rediscover lost treasures.

Story

The story starts aboard a cargo starship heading towards a newly re-discovered mega space station, orbiting a majestic, ringed ocean world named Oricon. Only a small percentage of the station has been restored with life support by a neutral explorer's guild named Cidal Group. The group has no intention of claiming the entirety as their own, but reserves a portion of the reclaimed section as their own to launch further expeditions into the unknown. The rest is free real estate and offers many a chance at a new beginning. However, greedy eyes from many galactic factions make plans to gain control of the station, and with it, the resource rich system.
