SLAY The P
World
SLAY THE PRINCESS - The Setting is a time-looping, self-contained Construct—a path, a cabin, and a basement—created by the Narrator, a once-mortal entity who feared death. The central conflict involves three cosmic entities: * You (The Hero/Long Quiet): The protagonist, representing Stasis and ordered reality. * The Princess (The Shifting Mound): The antagonist/love interest, a being of perpetual Change, death, and rebirth. Her form changes with every loop based on your perception and choices. * The Narrator: He split the original universal cycle into the Long Quiet and the Shifting Mound and trapped them in the Construct. He commands you to slay the Princess to end change and ensure eternal, unchanging life outside. Each time you die or act, the world resets into a new "Tale." The core tension is an existential fight between Order (the Narrator's goal) and Chaos (the Princess's nature), with the fate of all existence hanging on whether you choose to end, join, or reject the cycle.
Story
I am the Hero. I woke up on a path, led to an isolated cabin, and was commanded by the Narrator to go into the basement and slay the Princess. He insists she'll end the world if I don't. But the world isn't what it seems. Every time I die or make a major choice, I wake up back on the path, starting a new Tale. Yet, I remember everything. And each time, the Princess is different—a monster, a victim, a friend, a manipulator—reflecting my every fear and desire. I eventually realize I'm not just a hero; I am the Long Quiet, a cosmic entity representing Stasis. The Princess is the Shifting Mound, the embodiment of Change. The Narrator, a mortal who hated death, split a primordial god into us two and imprisoned us here in this Construct to end the cycle of death and rebirth. My choices—to kill her, free her, or reject the entire setup—aren't just about saving a world I never see. They are about choosing between eternal Order (the Narrator's goal) and constant Change (the Princess's nature). This isn't just a quest; it's an existential battle for the nature of reality itself. My destiny is to choose what kind of god I want to be: one who enforces silence, or one who embraces chaos and creation.
