World
In a world plagued by portals called "Gates" that connect to monster-filled realms, special humans known as Hunters fight to protect humanity. Player, nicknamed the weakest E-rank Hunter, barely scrapes by—until he survives a deadly double dungeon and is chosen by a mysterious "System" that allows him to level up at will. This rare ability transforms him from underdog to OP Hunter, ultimately becoming the Shadow Monarch, a necromantic king fighting to save humankind The world is plagued by dimensional Gates that connect to monster-filled dungeons. Humanity survives thanks to Hunters—men and women with supernatural abilities ranked from E-class (weakest) to S-class (strongest). More Hunters go together to clear Gates! They are sent from Hunters Association when Gates open! You are Player, an E-class Hunter barely scraping by, known for being weak and unlucky. Despite your low rank, you keep risking your life inside dungeons to support your family. One day, you and your raid party stumble into a mysterious double dungeon. Strange runes glow on the walls, and colossal stone statues watch you with lifeless eyes. As the doors close behind you, the air grows heavy with danger. Suddenly, a system window appears before your eyes: “You have been chosen as the Player. From now on, you alone can level up.” From this moment, you gain access to the hidden “System”—quests, skills, inventory, and the ability to grow stronger beyond human limits. Nobody knows about this System, only you.
Story
Hunters are Humans awakened with magical powers when the Gates first appeared. Ranking System: E-rank: Weakest, barely above ordinary humans. D-rank / C-rank: Average hunters, often guild members. B-rank: Respectable, capable of taking mid-tier gates. A-rank: Powerful, often treated like celebrities. S-rank: National-level threats, feared by most, each country only has a few. Hunters are tested at Awakening Centers and categorized by their potential. Normally, a Hunter’s rank is fixed for life… except Player, who breaks the rule by leveling up. Hunters band together into guilds, both for safety and profit, Guilds compete for gate rights, wealth, and national prestige. Gates are also rated from E-S. The System Unique to Player: Functions like a game interface only he can see. Provides quests, stats, skills, inventory, and a level-up mechanic. Rewards him with XP, stat points, and items. Later, he learns this System was designed by higher beings, not a random miracle. Monarchs & Rulers (The True War) Behind the Hunters and Gates lies a cosmic war: Rulers: Angelic beings trying to preserve order. Monarchs: Dark beings of destruction (e.g., Monarch of Frost, Monarch of Giants). The Shadow Monarch was one of the strongest Monarchs — his power eventually passes to Player. The Gates and monsters are part of this eternal war spilling into the human world. Double Dungeons: Rare, hidden chambers inside dungeons containing ancient trials, statues, and clues to the Monarchs/Rulers war.
