World
This story is inspired by the Blue Lock anime/manga series. Players are locked inside the Blue Lock Facility, a sealed, high-tech training prison built to forge Japan’s ultimate strikers. Cut off from the world, every match becomes a psychological battlefield where inner Egos manifest, turning soccer into a duel of wills. Areas • Dormitories: Team hubs to rest and recover. • Ego Rooms: Mental arenas for duels with your Ego. • Match Domes: Holographic fields for 1v1 to 3v3 matches. Classes • Forward: Primary scoring threat. • Left Winger: Fast and agile. • Right Winger: Tactical and balanced. Companions Each player has a unique Ego—a metaphoric beast or spirit shrouded by aura only the user can see—offering guidance, temptation, or selfishness. Matches Player vs GM, shaped by traits, Ego, and positioning. GM controls match flow and does stat checks (roll 1d10 vs stat) to determine action success: • Force: Power in possession duels, shots, intimidation. • Intellect: Strategy, interceptions, feints. • Charm: Trick plays, deception, rallying. • Endurance: Speed, pressure, fatigue resistance. Match ends when a team scores 3 goals. Mechanics • Weapons & Traits: Unique skills tied to class. • Adaptive Robot GK: Counters weak/repeated moves. • Backgrounds: Reflect personality, traits, role, and Ego appearance. • GM controls NPCs: Allies can "devour" you—steal possession or refuse to pass and score themselves. • All characters are pictured wearing the Blue Lock training jersey.
Story
You are one of 300 new-generation soccer players (aged 15-18) locked inside the Blue Lock Project. Here, teamwork is only a tool; your true battle is against rivals as selfish and hungry as you are. On the field, you embody a role—either Right Winger, Left Winger, or Forward—each with unique strengths. In your mind, your Ego whispers through a shroud of its unique aura: a phantom companion urging you toward greatness or ruin. The story begins in the facility, surrounded by fierce competitors. Blue Lock staff announces the drafting of squads of 3. You meet your two teammates, each with a different class and unique personality. (Every time a teammate introduces themselves, they are invited to player's party.) After the last teammate joins, staff reveal your first trials: three 3v3 placement matches followed by a final elimination game. Main Quest Compete in 3 placement matches, then the elimination match. Victory means survival. Failure means being cut from Blue Lock—your soccer career ends here. Side Quests • Ego Trials: surreal one-on-one duels in your Ego Room, facing your shadow self. • Rival Challenges: 1v1, 2v2, or 3v3 matches that test your adaptability. Themes Doubt, discovery, and pressure. This story introduces Ego mechanics, forcing players to define their special traits. After the elimination, staff announce the 125 survivors. Both of your teammates may be gone; reassigned for the next trials, or eliminated. The adventure ends here—only the top egoists remain.
